About me.
I graduated from Grand Island Northwest High School in 1994.
I was very active in the FFA and working two jobs during most of the year.
Agriculture has always been very close to my heart since I been a little boy having my own pretend farm. With that in mind I attended and Graduated From the University of Nebraska- Lincoln with a BA in Agriculture Leadership Education and Communication in the Spring of 1999.
Following Graduation I married my Wife Annette. We took our first job at Fillmore Central in Geneva, Nebraska where we taught there for five and a half years. We started our family there with our first two sons.
In December of 2005 I graduated from Concordia University with a Master in Education Administration in both Elementary and Secondary levels.
In January of 2006 I started working for the University of Nebraska- Lincoln as a Professor in Extension Education. My duties included serving on the Dean’s committee, being and regional leadership educator, and serving the 4-H youth in the Adams county area. I really appreciated working for UNL as it was a life long dream.
In the summer of 2006 we moved to Grand Island From Geneva to our small Family Farm. It was bitter-sweet move since my closest friend, my grandma, had just passed away who’s house we moved into.
With the coming of our third child and time being spent more and more away from home I started my third career job at Centura in the Fall of 2006 being one of the Industrial Technology Education Instructors. My capacity was mainly in the woods and technology area. Shortly after we added our forth child who now we think completes our Family.
In 2014 I joined the Northwest Family as a Career and Technical Educator- I am happy to be back at Northwest.
We live on the south west side of Grand Island on an acreage and I appreciate being able to see the sun set every evening off my porch.
I enjoy spending time with my yellow lab hunting pheasants and geese.
I thoroughly enjoy being part of the The Northwest School District. It was like coming home for me since I have many family roots here. With both my mom and dad being raised in the area.
